Policy on Artificial Intelligence

The Use of Artificial Intelligence (AI) Software- Students may not use artificial intelligence software such as Chat GPT, Google Bard, Bing AI, Midjourney, DALL-E,  and others, unless they have PRIOR permission from the instructor. Use of these programs without permission constitutes academic dishonesty and is a violation of the student Honor Code. Students whose work is flagged for using AI-generated content will be reported for an honor violation and receive a zero on the assignment.

If a student assignment is flagged for AI usage AT ALL (whether it is 1% or 100%), the assignment will receive a zero, and the student may be submitted for an honor violation. Using Grammarly and other programs to help with your assignments is AI, and it will generate an AI violation. As a result, I would encourage you not to use programs like Grammarly for your work to avoid an AI violation.
